Happy New Year!

January 3 – The Parlour Room of Hollywood – collaboration with Red Light Lit

The show is a mashup of live music, photography, storytelling, and poetry set to a live score by David Williams and Dan Thomas. The performers explore love relationships, sexuality, and gender. At The Parlour Room, we will feature musical guests Kira Lynn Cain and Andrew Miguel Cervantes

Readers include: Aman Batra, Agatha French, Jennifer Lewis, Bernadette McComish, Mackenzie Studebaker, Linda Ravenswood, Chelsea Rector, and Claudia Rodriguez.

The show will project photography and art published in Red Light Lit and The Los Angeles Press. Plus, it will feature photos from THE UNITY PHOTO PROJECT, a visual display of human vulnerability and connection.Transcending the way we view our bodies, love ourselves, and connect with the world around us.

January 16 – The Make Out Room San Francisco – collaboration with Red Light Lit

The performers explore love relationships, sexuality, and gender. Featured readers include Miah Jeffra, Thea Matthews, Bernadette McComish, Mackenzie Studebaker, and Linda Ravenswood. With a SURPRISE MUSICAL GUEST

Jan 23 – Launch of V4 – Beyond Baroque in Venice- 8: 00 p.m.

It’s the launch of volume four – V4 – Dis + placement – The Los Angeles Press online and print edition – with live performances and visual art displays featuring the work of Thea Matthews, Miah Jeffra, Daniel Benyousky, Jennie Gaborno, Emily Jay, Malado Francine Baldwin, Elyse Hart, Jennifer Lewis, Semantha Norris, Sally Stevens, Larissa Nickel, Jason Lipeles, Meg Flores, Alonna Shaw, Gabrielle Brant Freeman and Rachel Cohen, Kristen Simentel, Sea Glassman, Jeremias  Leonel Estradas translated by Brian Sonia Wallace. A special reading by members of Project 1521 opens the show. This event is curated by Linda Ravenswood

Details about Project 1521 

Project 1521 is an artists collective in California collaborating to produce new work resonant with the upcoming 500th anniversary of the so-called Conquest of the Americas by Cortes. The group meets quarterly and produces public events in preparation for an exhibit at LACMA in 2021
